Basketball Recap: Wapsie Valley Takes a Loss

Wapsie Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 71-44 loss at the hands of the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Wapsie Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Wapsie Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hudson at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Union at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Aplington-Parkersburg's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Union has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
