Baseball Recap: Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian on Thursday. The Knights blew past the Flying Dutchmen 8-2. The Knights' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Eli Determan, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brayden Chandler, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.0 runs this season. As for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
