The Nightmute Elitnaurviat Nighthawks were dealt an 83-47 defeat at the hands of the Nelson Island Islanders. The Nighthawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-17.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Louis Post, who posted 25 points. That was a full 53.2% of Nightmute Elitnaurviat's points, marking the sixth time in a row Post has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Anthony, who put up 15 points.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Nelson Island, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat has already played their next contest, a 74-72 defeat against Ayaprun on the 20th. As for Nelson Island, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 98-71 win against Chaputnguak on the 20th.
