Basketball Game Preview: Mullins Auctioneers vs. Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada

The Mullins Auctioneers will take on the Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mullins comes in on three and Atlantic Collegiate Academy on eight.

Mullins is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: St. James, who was ranked 17th at the time (Mullins was ranked 25th). Mullins walked away with a 60-52 win over St. James on Wednesday.

It was another big night for Deyon Ford, who went 16 of 26 en route to 35 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Amir Lee, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Atlantic Collegiate Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Trinity Collegiate on Monday, taking the game 58-45.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy's win came from a few key players Mullins will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaylen Bellamy, who put up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamie Brooks, who had 13 points.

Mullins' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.5 points. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
