Archbishop Hannan had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt St. Scholastica on Thursday. The Archbishop Hannan Hawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Scholastica Doves a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Archbishop Hannan's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. Scholastica, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
