Baseball Recap: Gatlinburg-Pittman Takes a Loss

If Gatlinburg-Pittman was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Wartburg Central on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Highlanders came up short against the West Greene Buffaloes on Friday, falling 11-4. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Buffaloes: they've now lost three in a row.

Gatlinburg-Pittman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for West Greene, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Gatlinburg-Pittman will take on Oneida at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Greene, they will face off against Johnson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
