Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seaside). Everything went their way against the St. Francis Sharks on Friday as they made off with a 19-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aaliyah Washington was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Sophia Villanueva was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasibe Ortiz Sumano, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Seaside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
