Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Bengals vs. American History Bald Eagles
Even though the American History Bald Eagles scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Bloomfield Bengals still came out on top. Bloomfield enjoyed a cozy 72-55 victory over the Bald Eagles. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bloomfield.
American History lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Edgar De Los Santos, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Woodard, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for American History, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Bloomfield and the Terries will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Newark Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. American History will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
