Volleyball Recap: Kotzebue Takes a Loss

Kotzebue had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it ten. They lost 3-0 to the Nome-Beltz Nanooks. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Nanooks earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

As for Nome-Beltz, the win got them back to even at 5-5. The contest marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Benny Lie was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 kills.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Nome-Beltz beat Kotzebue by a score of 3-0 on Saturday.
