After starting their season with three straight games on the road, Savannah Country Day is finally coming home. They will be defending their home-fieldthey go up against the Bluffton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Savannah Country Day lost 23-3 to Porter-Gaud on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 248th in Georgia, while the Cyclones are ranked 62nd in South Carolina).

Meanwhile, Bluffton made easy work of Andrew Jackson on Friday and carried off a 35-13 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Bluffton can attribute much of their success to Aedan Mccarthy, who rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Kordell Holley, who gained 191 total yards and a touchdown. With that strong performance, Holley is now averaging an impressive 117 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Carnell Warren, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Bluffton's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Ashton Chambers and Lucas Gates. Gates' also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Another thorn in Andrew Jackson's side was Sam Lewis, who picked up a sack, made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended a pass.

Savannah Country Day dropped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
