After a string of five wins, Science Hill's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Greeneville Greene Devils by a score of 42-40. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-44 back in January.

Leading Greeneville to victory were Kyla Jobe and Maria Lyde. Jobe posted 13 points along with six assists and three blocks, while Lyde went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Abby Adkins, who earned six points and ten boards.

Science Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Greeneville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Science Hill will challenge West Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greeneville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-10 victory against Cherokee on the 4th.
