Baseball Recap: Copley Takes a Loss

If Copley was feeling good fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Aurora on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Field Falcons by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday.

Jake Stitsinger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. AZ Patterson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Copley's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Field, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copley will host Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Greenmen have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Field, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mogadore at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
