Baseball Recap: Perrin-Whitt Takes a Loss

Perrin-Whitt scored first but ultimately less than Bryson in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 last Tuesday.

Perrin-Whitt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Welch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Perrin-Whitt and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Bryson, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Perrin-Whitt will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bryson, they will head out on the road to square off against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
