Baseball Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short

Altamont fell victim to Charleston and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Altamont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Milleville, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Charleston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Coming up, Altamont will welcome North Clay/Clay City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Clay/Clay City's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Altamont's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Charleston, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Joseph-Ogden at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
