Eagle is 9-1 against Rocky Mountain since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will take on the Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m.

Eagle is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Skyview, who was ranked second at the time (Eagle was ranked 16th). The Mustangs came up short against the Hawks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost seven in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Storm.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 26-28, 26-24.

Rocky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Eagle, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Eagle beat Rocky Mountain 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
