Volleyball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Takes a Loss

If Crimson Cliffs was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bear River on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Crimson Cliffs fell just short of the Copper Hills Grizzlies by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Crimson Cliffs sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-21, 12-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Crimson Cliffs still got an impressive performance from Nathan Dana, who had 11 digs and two aces. Dana has been hot recently, having also posted 14 or more assists the last three times he's played.

Dana wasn't the only good server: Crimson Cliffs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

Crimson Cliffs' record is now 7-4. As for Copper Hills, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Coming up, Crimson Cliffs will venture away from home to challenge Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Copper Hills, they will host Mountain Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
