The East Chapel Hill Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Chapel Hill Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Chapel Hill will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: East Chapel Hill extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Wildcats blew past Riverside-Durham 11-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

McKenna White was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Grabowski, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Lauren Steiner was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Chapel Hill came into Wednesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hillside a 17-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Tigers have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Chapel Hill got a massive performance out of Alexandra (Kes) Duncan, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Duncan has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Evans, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Chapel Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The victory got East Chapel Hill back to even at 5-5. As for Chapel Hill, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-7.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. East Chapel Hill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .472. However, it's not like Chapel Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
