Basketball Recap: Sammer Day's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eno River Academy over Roxboro Community

Eno River Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 62-55 to the Roxboro Community Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-64 back in January.

Eno River Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sammer Day, who went 6 of 13 en route to 20 points. Day is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Jack Kroothoep was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

Eno River Academy's record now sits at 11-9. As for Roxboro Community, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Eno River Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-50 win against Triangle Math & Science on the 5th. As for Roxboro Community, they will head out on the road to face off against Bartlett Yancey at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
