Basketball Recap: Boyden-Hull Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Boyden-Hull won the last time they faced Sheldon and things went their way on Friday too. The Boyden-Hull Comets snuck past the Sheldon Orabs with a 47-41 win. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Orabs are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boyden-Hull pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Sheldon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Coming up, Boyden-Hull will face off against Sibley-Ocheyedan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sheldon, they will square off against MOC-Floyd Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. MOC-Floyd Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Sheldon likes a good challenge.
