Football Game Preview: Woodland Christian Cardinals vs. Elite Eagles + Official Tickets

The Woodland Christian Cardinals will square off against the Elite Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodland Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Woodland Christian took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-8 win over Mesa Verde. Considering the Cardinals have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Woodland Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Hunt, who threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns while completing 91.3% of his passes. What's more, Hunt racked up 23 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another back making a difference was Elliott Holleman, who gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Elite scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. The game between the Eagles and Lindhurst didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 41-22.

Despite the defeat, Elite saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ma'Kai Little threw for 175 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.

Woodland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Elite, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Woodland Christian against Elite in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 50-0 win. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
