Softball Game Preview: West Ouachita Chiefs vs. Central Lafourche Trojans

For the second straight game, West Ouachita will face off against Central Lafourche. The Chiefs will challenge the Trojans on Saturday.

West Ouachita took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Central Lafourche with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Central Lafourche's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Demi Orgeron, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

West Ouachita pushed their record up to 18-15 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Central Lafourche, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8.
