Football Recap: Sharron Gayles' Menacing Defense Leads Bruton over Grafton + How To Watch

Bruton's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 26-13 win over the Grafton Clippers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Khalon Murrell, who picked up 68 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Bruton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sharron Gayles, Murrell, Dominique Wilson, and Derek Reynolds picked up one apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Grafton lost, don't look at Malake Barnett. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards and one TD.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Grafton, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
