Softball Game Preview: Barlow Bruins vs. Central Catholic Rams

For the second straight game, Barlow will face off against Central Catholic. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Barlow's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Central Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Barlow needed a bit of extra time to put away Central Catholic. They had just enough and edged out the Rams 6-5.

Kaylee Pokorny 2025 spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Charliann Renner 2025 was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Pehtyn Hart 2026 was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Central Catholic is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Barlow, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
