Volleyball Recap: Belleville East Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Belleville East had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Althoff Catholic Crusaders on Thursday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Belleville East never let Althoff Catholic on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-17.

Belleville East's offense was headlined by August S. Enriquez and Jackson Byers, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Keegan Rose and his 28 assists.

Belleville East pushed their record up to 26-7 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Althoff Catholic, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-8.
