Baseball Recap: Liberty Christian Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alamance Christian Warriors. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 21-4 to the Warriors when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Angel Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Omar Cruz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Liberty Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alamance Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Liberty Christian will face off against Crossroads Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Alamance Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vandalia Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Vandalia Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Alamance Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
