Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Lutheran South won the last time they faced Notre Dame and things went their way on Friday too. The Lancers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Lutheran South's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cody Abbas led the charge by getting ten digs and one assist. Abbas has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times he's played.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Joseph Schwendemann had ten digs and one assist.

Lutheran South's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-2. As for Notre Dame, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
