Football Game Preview: Thurston Eagles vs. Garden City Cougars

The Thurston Eagles will challenge the Garden City Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Thurston will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Thurston barely beat Romulus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Thurston took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 43-6 victory over Romulus. Thurston might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Garden City took a blow against Robichaud on Friday, falling 36-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garden City now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Thurston, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Thurston didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Garden City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-7 victory.
