Soccer Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is South East's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

South East won the last time they faced Huntington Park and things went their way on Wednesday too. The South East Jaguars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Huntington Park Spartans. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Spartans are ranked 783rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

David Doroteo and Ulises Davila scored all three of South East's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

South East is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those eight games. As for Huntington Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-2.

South East will host Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Huntington Park, they will venture away from home to square off against Legacy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
