Travis Linane put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Piedmont Hills is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.

Linane's strong effort led Piedmont Hills over Hill and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
