Volleyball Recap: Rayne Comes Up Short

Rayne lost against Westlake back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 25-19 in the first set.

Rayne wouldn't go down easily and took Westlake into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 14-25, 15-7.

Rayne now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Westlake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7-1.

Coming up, Rayne will challenge Iota at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westlake, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Louis Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
