Soccer Recap: Gilpin County Takes a Loss

Gilpin County entered their match against Front Range Christian on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-3. Jiselle Osteboe probably wasn't too happy after the game: she scored every single goal for Gilpin County and still walked away on the losing team.

This is the second loss in a row for Gilpin County and nudges their season record down to 9-2-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1-1 Dawson School (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.6% over those games). As for Front Range Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2-1.

Looking ahead, Gilpin County will square off against Fountain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Front Range Christian, they will be playing at home against Dawson School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
