Baseball Recap: Osceola Gets the Win

Osceola won the last time they faced Pinellas Park and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors skirted past the Patriots 3-1.

Brock Golden tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Vincent Ferrell, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Osceola has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pinellas Park, their record is now 10-14-1.

Osceola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinellas Park, they will face off against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
