Basketball Recap: Toombs County Takes a Loss

If Toombs County was feeling good fresh off their 62-40 takedown of Montgomery County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Toombs County Bulldogs fell 48-38 to the Tattnall County Warriors on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Warriors are ranked 175th).

When it comes to explaining why Toombs County lost, don't look at Arianna Hill. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Toombs County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Tattnall County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Toombs County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-28 loss against Savannah Country Day on the 8th. As for Tattnall County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-37 victory against Metter on the 8th.
