Volleyball Recap: Gem State Adventist Academy Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Gem State Adventist Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Gem State Adventist Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 13-25, 25-17, 27-25, 15-8.

Greenleaf Friends Academy found their leader in sophomore Ella Doyle, who had 12 digs, three aces, and one block.

The win got Greenleaf Friends Academy back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gem State Adventist Academy will square off against Twin Falls Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they will face off against Wilder at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
