Basketball Recap: Eau Gallie's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If Merritt Island wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Eau Gallie, they should've done a better job of containing Brhooke Eckman. The Eau Gallie Commodores walked away with a 39-32 win over the Merritt Island Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to Eckman, who went 9 of 15 en route to 19 points. Those 19 points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Merritt Island saw an underclassman step up: freshman Alexis Underwood posted 15 points and six steals. Underwood has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
