Basketball Recap: Potomac Falls Skates Past Dominion with Ease

Potomac Falls won the last time they faced Dominion and things went their way on Friday too. The Potomac Falls Panthers really took it to the Dominion Titans for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-41 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Potomac Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adit Apte, who posted 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Colton Call, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points and four steals.

Potomac Falls pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Dominion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Potomac Falls and Broad Run will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Broad Run's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Dominion, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Herndon at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd.
