 If River View was riding high  off their  18-2 takedown of Twin Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The River View Raiders took  a  9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grundy Golden Wave on Tuesday. River View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Grundy apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  on April 8th.
  Sam Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Gabe Lester, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 River View's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-5. As for Grundy, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River View will stay at home for another  game and welcome Van at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Van is coming into the  match with four straight  losses on the road,  meaning River View will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win. As for Grundy, they will be playing at home against Jenkins at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
