Scituate is a perfect 5-0 against Mt. Hope since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. Scituate will be strutting in after a victory while Mt. Hope will be coming in after a loss.

Scituate took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over South Kingstown.

Sofia Melia was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Adreana Laninfa, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Scituate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to Toll Gate. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Huskies have suffered against the Titans since May 2, 2019.

Mt. Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Scituate, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything went Scituate's way against Mt. Hope in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Scituate made off with a 21-7 win. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
