DeKalb won the last time they faced Metea Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The DeKalb Barbs walked away with a 43-35 win over the Metea Valley Mustangs. Given the Barbs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Mustangs are ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DeKalb is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Metea Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season.

Coming up, DeKalb is taking a road trip to face off against Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. DeKalb is facing Plainfield East at the right time seeing as Plainfield East is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Metea Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
