Baseball Recap: Greenway Comes Up Short

Greenway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Pomona Panthers.

Greenway saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Archuleta, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Archuleta a new career-high. Ben Tatum also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Greenway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pomona, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenway will host Goldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pomona, they will challenge Severance at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pomona's pitchers better be ready for this one: Severance has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
