Football Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord and Brandywine squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Concord had to settle for second. They were dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Raiders have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Brandywine was led to victory by Peyton Taylor and Jahsir Greene. Taylor rushed for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Greene picked up 108 receiving yards and one TD. Zaahir McNair was in the mix too, providing the Bulldogs with two scores.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Brandywine, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brandywine, they will square off against Newark Charter School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
