Basketball Game Preview: Wisconsin Dells Chiefs vs. Lakeside Lutheran Warriors

The Wisconsin Dells Chiefs will challenge the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Lakeside Lutheran will be up against a hot Wisconsin Dells squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Wisconsin Dells strolled past Adams-Friendship with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-46. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Green Devils are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lakeside Lutheran earned a 68-55 victory over Lodi on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Wisconsin Dells better keep an eye on Wes Rahn. He was instrumental in Lakeside Lutheran's win, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards. Rahn's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Brady Wolfram was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.

Wisconsin Dells' win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points over those games. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.

Wisconsin Dells suffered a grim 63-42 defeat to Lakeside Lutheran in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rahn, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards.
