Baseball Recap: Ridgeview Takes a Loss

Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the Baldwin Indians. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Jose Morales put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he also racked up three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Morales wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Gulbrand, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Ridgeview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Ridgeview is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on Orange Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baldwin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Snyder at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
