Soccer Game Preview: Sealy vs. Royal

Sealy hasn't had much luck against Royal recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sealy Tigers will face off against the Royal Falcons at 6:05 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Sealy sitting on three straight victories and Royal on nine.

On Friday, Sealy made easy work of New Waverly and carried off a 4-1 win. Israel Santos was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Royal). Their defense stepped up to hand Hempstead a 17-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 11 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Sealy pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Royal, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Sealy might still be hurting after the 7-4 defeat they got from Royal when the teams last played back in January. Can Sealy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
