Baseball Recap: Prospect Comes Up Short

After flying high against Evergreen Valley on Tuesday, Prospect came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 11-5 to the Cougars on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 12-4.

Kyle Pollace was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Henry Little was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Prospect's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Evergreen Valley, their record is now 10-12.

Coming up, Prospect will challenge Hill at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Evergreen Valley, they will face off against Wilcox at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
