Softball Recap: Cedarcrest Takes a Loss

Cedarcrest fell victim to Inglemoor and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty 28 runs in the game before, the Red Wolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cedarcrest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paityn Craig, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. Josie Fiala also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cedarcrest has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. As for Inglemoor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3-1.

Coming up, Cedarcrest will be playing at home against Sammamish at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The RedHawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.07 runs per game on average), something the Red Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Inglemoor, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Si at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
