Montrose is 8-2 against Byron since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Montrose and six for Byron.

Montrose came up short against Brandon on Saturday, falling 7-1.

Damon Paicz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

Meanwhile, Byron lost 9-1 to Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy on Saturday.

Byron's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Montrose's way against Byron in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Montrose made off with a 13-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
