Baseball Recap: Prairie Comes Up Short

While it was Prairie who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was Potlatch who put up more. The Pirates took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loggers. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Loggers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Phil Schwartz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Prairie is 8-3 when Schwartz posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Potlatch, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

As of now, neither Prairie nor the Loggers have any future games scheduled.
