Basketball Recap: Oakwood Comes Up Short

Oakwood won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Benton Central Bison, falling 60-33. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the loss, Oakwood still got an impressive performance from Bella Bradford, who posted ten points.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Benton Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Oakwood has already played their next game, a 41-36 defeat against North Vermillion on the 28th. As for Benton Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-31 victory against Tolono Unity on the 27th.
