Basketball Game Preview: Alexandria Cardinals vs. Little Falls Flyers

Alexandria is 7-2 against Little Falls since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Alexandria Cardinals will look to defend their home court against the Little Falls Flyers at 7:00 p.m. Alexandria knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 26 matchups -- so hopefully Little Falls likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Alexandria faced off against St. Cloud Tech on Friday. Alexandria blew past St. Cloud Tech, posting a 109-71 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Alexandria relied on the efforts of Chase Thompson, who went 12-for-18 en route to 28 points, and Mason Witt, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 28 points. The game was Thompson's 11th in a row with at least 18 points. Talan Witt was another key player, shooting 73% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Little Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 76-56 to Foley.

Alexandria pushed their record up to 23-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.8 points. As for Little Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.

Alexandria took their win against Little Falls in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 76-53. Does Alexandria have another victory up their sleeve, or will Little Falls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
